SKONTO PLAN LTD wins 2nd place in the "Building Abroad" category of the “Latvia's Building of the Year 2017” competition for its work on Lombard Wharf building in London.
The contractor for this 26 storey residential and office building was one of the London's largest real estate developers, Barratt London. Skonto Plan started production and assembly of the 7000+ square metres of aluminium glass facades in 2016 and completed the work in 2017, meeting all the deadlines and highest quality standards. Innovative solutions were used throughout the project, including latest Schüco door systems and other novelties in exterior glass assembly.
Were it not for its 25 years of experience, the successful participation of Skonto Plan would not have been possible in this outstanding project. Even though the limited construction site greatly complicated logistics, the company successfully met all the quality requirements and deadlines. This London project is a proof of company's capabilities of meeting highest quality standards and offering impressive solutions, which hopefully someday will be used in Latvia in a building of equal magnitude and quality.
The UK's most coveted residential house competition "WhatHouse Awards 2017" recognized Lombard Wharf project with the Silver Award in the Best Exterior Design category.
